The Wonky Tree use Google Analytics to assist in the analysis of the use of our website. Google Analytics will produce statistical and other information on the use of our website by using the cookies which have been stored on your device. Google will maintain this information. Our payment service provider Stripe will also use a similar process and use/send you cookies. Again, you can instruct your browser to refuse all and some cookies.
Using your personal information
Upon setting up an account / or using our service as guest, your ‘Personal Information’ may be used for the purposes set out in the policy or on our website. Your personal information may be used for some of the following, although this list is not exhaustive:

However, we may share information with our payment service, Stripe, for the express purpose of payment processing or should a complaint/query arise relating to a payment.
Order information you expressly provide
If you buy something from our store, we will need more specific information about you. To fully process your order and ship the merchandise you selected, we need your personal data such as your first and last name, your email address and your shipping and billing address. We also use your contact and order information to send you communication related to the processing of your order. We will ask you to provide this information in our “checkout page” before letting you finalise your purchase with the payment.
Your Account
Upon registration you will be asked to consent to this policy. Once consent is given we would then authorise the setting up of an account. By setting up an account your details will be kept on file for any future purchases of goods without the need of submitting all your personal information again.
Should you no longer want to hold an account with us, then all you would need to do is contact us via hello@thewonkytree.co.uk and request your account to be closed.
Incomplete Purchases
Should you have to ‘hold’ a purchase without completing, we may in this instance contact you via email (should you have provided this information) to remind of an incomplete purchase. If you do not wish to be contacted again, then you can advise us to remove you from the system to stop any further contact.
Disclosures
There may be incidences whereby we may need to disclose your personal information:
- if required to do so my law (including any ongoing legal proceedings or potential legal proceedings)
- for the prevention of fraud
- to assist in reducing our credit risk
- should we decide to sell the business then all information would be passed onto the new business owner/potential purchaser

Information Processing?
BigCommerce is our external provider who assist in running our website. They are a US Company who’s ethos is to provide the first class service and data protection. If you would like more information on BigCommerce and the Privacy Shield, click here on the official site of The International Trade Administration (ITA), U.S. Department of Commerce.
Through our alliance with BigCommerce we also use other external providers who are highly specialised to provide the most competitive service. One of those services assists with how payments and the information provided is submitted. Our payment service provider is Stripe.
Data Retention
We would retain your information until such time as your account is closed. However, certain information may still need to be retained after closure of an account/request to delete specific information for such as fraud or tax situations.
Security of your personal information
No information is shared with any third parties. Should you give permission for your personal information to be used for publicity on our website, we will only do in accordance with those permissions given to us. Any publications on our website will be available to anyone to view, we cannot prevent the use or misuse by other parties but will take all reasonable precautions to prevent this.
We currently do not store any card details. Any changes to this, we would notify you prior to facility changes. Currently all payments are encrypted using SSL technology.
It is the customers responsibility for keeping your login details secure & confidential. Should you believe your login details have been compromised then would suggest that you change your password straight away. The Wonky Tree would never ask for this information, except at login stage.
Policy Changes
Any amendments to the policy will be updated on our website and we may also notify you of such changes by email.
Subject Access Requests
You may contact us to request disclosure of any personal information we hold about you – this is called a Subject Access Request and must be submitted in writing, together with 2 forms of evidence of your identity (photocopy of passport or driving license – which would need to be certified by either a GP, solicitor or Company Director – and original copy of a utility bill confirming your current address). Upon receipt of the S.A.R we then have 1 month to respond.

The website contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of third-party websites.
