Mother's Day is a celebration honouring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May. That is what wikipedia has to say about mothers day! 

It's true though. Mothers are such an integral part of the family. Often taken for granted, with all the things that they do behind the scenes to make the household function. At the moment, during the Covid Pandemic, they are now adding to their remit, and have become (in most families) the teacher, the nurse, the psychologist, the friend, the playmate - the list goes on.
